THE HARVEST IS GREAT, BUT THE WORKERS ARE FEW.
Three decades ago, the power of God stopped Waleed Zarou from killing a preacher. Instead of committing murder, he committed his life to Christ. And ever since then he has been sharing the gospel in Africa, Latin America, and in his own backyard. During that time, Waleed has also been an entrepreneur — developing and operating multiple businesses in Northern Virginia that provide a platform to impact the community with the Gospel.
From the mission field to his Pizzeria, Waleed has seen God work in incredible ways. Now, Waleed works to encourage Christians to join in what God is doing by seeing their homes, businesses, and community as their mission field. He teaches them how to share the Gospel with courage and confidence, understanding that evangelism is not reserved for a special few; instead, sharing Jesus is for
EVERYONE EVERYWHERE EVERYDAY
WHY NOT YOU?
Why Not You? How You Can Live a Spirit-Led Life To Reach Everyone, Everywhere, Everyday is Waleed Zarou’s new book which helps believers be led by the Spirit to fulfill the Great Commission in their spheres of influence and beyond.
This resource was written out of a passion to help you learn how to share the Gospel with your neighbors, friends, and family as you encounter Waleed’s own stories of sharing Christ on the mission field and the workplace.
This collection of powerful experiences will encourage and empower you to fulfill your calling right where you are. We often expect missionaries and pastors to be the ones who can share their faith with courage and conviction. But why not you? Let’s journey together.
Meet Waleed Zarou
Waleed Zarou wasn’t always a follower of Jesus. In fact, there was a time he was very much opposed to him. For much of his early life, Waleed despised Christians, saw them as weak, and wanted nothing to do with them. All of this antagonism culminated in Waleed’s attempt to murder a street preacher he was convinced had converted his brother.
Instead of committing murder, Waleed had a powerful encounter with God that stopped him in his tracks and made him rethink everything he thought he knew about Christ and Christians. The resulting search and struggle ended up leading Him to the mercy seat of Jesus. He trusted in Christ and gave Him his life, and nothing has been the same since.
Ever since he believed in Christ, God called Waleed to the nation and to his own backyard to preach the Gospel on the streets, in his community, and at the workplace to all who don’t know him.
HOW DO I TEACH EVANGELISM?
EVERYONE
I believe everyone can learn how to share the Gospel. Business owner? God can use you to establish a workplace ministry. Stay-at-home mom? You have a witness among your unbelieving neighbors and friends. Sharing the Gospel with unbelievers requires thinking intentionally missional about where God has put us. I help Christians discover they CAN share the Gospel right where God has put them.
EVERYWHERE
I’ve seen God work miraculously everywhere! I’ve spent the last decades preaching Christ across Africa and Latin America, but I’ve also leveraged my role as an entrepreneur to create businesses for outreach in my own community. Some people wait until they're in other countries to share the gospel but I use my story to train and mobilize people to witness right where they are — right now.
EVERYDAY
There are opportunities to spread the Gospel everyday! My life is an intersection of being discipled by incredible godly pastors and evangelists, and also growing up in multi-generational entrepreneurial family. By God’s grace, I started a pizzeria and salon in Northern Virginia, and through these businesses I'm able to regularly share the gospel with my community. My heart’s desire is to pass on what I’ve learned to aspiring Christian business people, and encourage them to use their work to share the Gospel.
WHERE IS MY WORKPLACE?
From the moment God saved him 30 years ago, Waleed has had a passion for sharing the Gospel with unbelievers. Intentionally, two of the biggest tools for evangelism God has given Waleed are his salon, International Barbers, and his pizzeria: The Don’s Wood-Fire Pizza. Waleed discovered that being an entrepreneur rooted him deeply within his community and gave him a powerful platform to share the Gospel through. And now, part of Waleed’s passion is helping other Christians learn how to use business to share the Gospel with unbelievers and serve their community.

WHAT WILL WALEED BRING TO YOUR CHURCH?
To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ. - Ephesians 4:12
Ephesians 4:11-13 explains that Christ gave gifts to the church in the form of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. The Word of God explains that these gifts are given for the perfection and maturation of the body of the church. Waleed recognizes his own gifting as an evangelist and considers it a privilege to meet with pastors and other leaders to help stir up a passion within their congregations to go deeper with God and live more intentionally missional. Starting with his own radical encounter with Christ, then to his experience spreading the Gospel abroad and through businesses in Northern Virginia, Waleed has countless stories of how he’s lived intentionally missional, and God has faithfully used a willing heart. Living obediently to share the gospel and equipping the saints for the work of the ministry, Waleed wants to encourage your congregation to live sold out to Jesus.
