ABOUT WALEED
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Centuries ago, Waleed’s ancestors migrated up the Arabian peninsula and settled in Palestine. Waleed’s grandfather answered a call from the Lord and became a pastor and evangelist to his own people. Waleed’s father, on the other hand, chose a different route for his life, and in 1956, he immigrated to New York from Yafa, Israel on board the Queen Elizabeth. Waleed’s parents eventually settled in Maryland where he was born in 1967. However, Waleed was far removed from his grandfather’s spiritual legacy. By the time he was 16, he found himself dealing drugs and in open rebellion and anger towards God. But God had other plans for Waleed, and would soon interrupt his life with the reality of His love and grace - Waleed would never be the same.
CHRIST INTERVENES
In 1989 at the age of 18, Waleed took a cross-country trip to California with one purpose: to find and kill a preacher who he believed was sharing the Gospel with his brother. He spent months tracking him down. And when the moment came to take his life, Waleed had a remarkable experience with the power of God. He was not only unable to kill the preacher; but he was also struck by the reality of both his own sin and of God’s great love toward him. Waleed began a journey to find out who Jesus really was and if the Bible was truly God’s word. God met him in that search and he was born again. Waleed experienced an instant transformation and was immediately delivered from fear and hatred. Unburdened by all of his sins, Jesus had taken them all upon Himself!
30 YEARS OF FOLLOWING CHRIST
It has been over 30 years since Jesus confronted Waleed on the streets of California and forever changed his life. God took an angry young man, poured his Spirit out on Him, and has used him both across the globe and in his very own zip code. Waleed has preached crusades in several countries, taught in prisons, schools, and conferences, and been ordained as a Senior Chaplain and Evangelist. God isn’t finished with him yet. Today, Waleed’s heart is for the Church. He prays to see her people stirred up to be on mission, her pastors supported and encouraged, and her newest generation raised up and ordained to preach the Good News.

The past few years have been difficult for the Church. COVID and the current political climate of America have left believers isolated, pastors frustrated, and many people at a loss of where to go from here. But even in the midst of all of this, God’s Kingdom is still advancing, and his plan is still to use the Church to be the sharers of the Good News. My ministry revolves around helping normal, everyday Christians learn to share the Gospel with their neighbors, family, and coworkers. My approach centers around 3 components of ministry:
